Development Director

The Development Director is responsible for the comprehensive planning, implementation, management and oversight of all development, fundraising, communications, marketing and community relations activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies
• Managing private donations to UAY
• Cultivating donors and establishing partnerships with the corporate and business community
• Organizing and executing two annual fundraising events (Festival of Flowers and Ride 4 Youth)
• Creating and executing marketing campaigns and social media presence
• Liaise with the Board of Directors, Development Committee and other internal groups as appropriate to effectively manage communications and development activities
• Organize annual direct mail campaign to reach current and potential contributors
• Create marketing and public relations material to enhance agency’s visibility and promote fundraising efforts

Other duties include but are not limited to:

• Planning, organizing, and coordinating of ongoing special project funding programs for UAY. Prepares statement of planned activities and enlists support from members of the organization’s staff and volunteers
• Identifies potential contributors to special project funds through examination of past records, individual and corporate contracts, and knowledge of the community
• Plans and coordinates fund drives for special projects
• Supervises and coordinates activities of staff engaged in maintaining records of contributors and preparing letters of appreciation to be sent to contributors

Development office will report to the Executive Director. The person will work with the UAY Board of Directors, Associate Director and receive support from UAY business office staff and senior management.

Qualifications:

Must have a valid driver's license.

Compensation:

This is a full-time, non-remote, position. A $55,000 to $58,000, depending on experience, starting salary, plus benefits that include health insurance, flex spending, life/disability insurance, paid time off, holidays, wellness program and retirement.
