Applications Development Director directs all activities and develops policies and procedures related to the design, analysis, testing, coding, and implementation of applications. Enhances operations by establishing metrics, analyzing processes, and implementing standard methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables. Being an Applications Development Director oversees review of development proposals, projects, timelines, resources, and costs. Develops feedback processes for peer reviews, code reviews, and design reviews. Additionally, Applications Development Director establishes a performance culture by incorporating individual and team coaching and mentoring to achieve excellence. May develop and manage outsourcing budgets, vendor relationships, or off-shore resources. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Applications Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Applications Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Shift: 1St Shift, typically 8:00 AM -5:00 PM, some flexibility available on exact work hours

    The Food Product Development & Applications Technician is responsible for duties including but not limited to, batching of formulas, customer sampling and shipping, preparation of food products for evaluation, basic sanitation and maintenance of laboratory areas. This position provides direct support for the scientists and managers on the Savory Food PD&A team.
    Qualifications: Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Culinary Arts or Science or related field. This role requires the following skillsets:
    Basic Mathematical Skills:
    • the candidate must be comfortable with basic calculations, ratio scaling, fraction proportioning, and percentage calculations.
    Basic Scientific Skills:
    • the candidate should be comfortable with common scientific terminology and laboratory equipment.
    Basic Computer Skills:
    • the candidate should be comfortable with computer usage, internet access, Microsoft WORD, EXCEL and Email usage, along with ability to create, edit, manipulate WORD and EXCEL files.
    Analytical Skills:
    • the candidate should comfortable with basic instrument calibration, usage and reporting skills.
    Problem Solving Skills:
    • the candidate should be capable of problem/root cause identification, alternative solution consideration and ultimate recommendation and selection of workable solution.
    Key success factors of this position include: Team Player - the individual will be capable of being a member of a group who cooperates with other people and who balances personal interests in order to achieve a common goal. Clear Communication - the individual will be capable of expressing a message to other people clearly and unambiguously, either in written or verbal format. Time Management Skills - the individual will be capable of managing their time commitments to get tasks done correctly in the time stipulated. Detail Oriented - the individual will be capable of clearly identifying, following and delivering specifically necessary details for projects assigned. Action Oriented - the individual will have a predisposition to planning and quickly engaging appropriate activities when given a task or goal. Independent Working
    - the individual will be capable of independent work habits with internal drive to achieve assigned tasks. Dependable - the individual will be able to be trusted to meet deadlines, quality parameters, and action standards as provided. Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment or food processing equipment and basic skills are a plus, but not a requirement.
