Applications Development Director directs all activities and develops policies and procedures related to the design, analysis, testing, coding, and implementation of applications. Enhances operations by establishing metrics, analyzing processes, and implementing standard methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables. Being an Applications Development Director oversees review of development proposals, projects, timelines, resources, and costs. Develops feedback processes for peer reviews, code reviews, and design reviews. Additionally, Applications Development Director establishes a performance culture by incorporating individual and team coaching and mentoring to achieve excellence. May develop and manage outsourcing budgets, vendor relationships, or off-shore resources. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Applications Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Applications Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     As a member of the Human Resources team, the Retail L&D Manager role is responsible for Retail Learning & Development content creation and management to meet the needs of Crocs' Regional Retail teams to drive high levels of Customer Service and consistent in-store experiences. In partnership with the Learning & Development team, person will be the authority on L&D for Crocs Retail.

     

    WHAT YOU’LL DO HERE

    • This individual is responsible for meeting with regional partners to understand retail and partner needs
    • Facilitate global retail training calendar and help bridge the gap from corporate to regional support
    • Build retail courses and content to align with regional needs including management of content for partner stores. In addition to leading global templates and course updates
    • Support the implementation of global corporate programs into Retail
    • Provide ongoing support and delivery of the Crocs customer service model (CHARM) 
    • Reinforce and build a successful culture around CHARM to all global employees
    • Help build and lead global Retail content in PlayerLync for stores and partners and supporting system admins as needed through ongoing training including Tier 2 client support

     

    WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
    • 3 years recent experience with Learning & Development and Instructional Design
    • Proficient in eLearning software (i.e. Articulate 360, Storyline, Adobe Captivate)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Knowledge and experience with digital design, photo editing, video editing, audio editing
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact independently with both internal partners and external vendors at all levels
    • Global Experience, working with peers and partners
    • Experience working with & delivering learning solutions in a fast-paced, global, retail, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
      • Prior LMS experience preferred.
    • Project management experience preferred
    • Experience with Organizational Behavior, Organizational Psychology, Adult Learning
    • Bi-Lingual (Spanish or French Canadian)
    • Up to 30-50% travel is required
      • Travel to our Broomfield, CO and Boston, MA offices
      • Travel to Domestic stores once a quarter
      • Minimal international travel may be requested of this position
