The Director of IT Applications will be responsible for the overall applications development and application support functions within Information Technology (IT). Position provides oversight, leadership and direction to the applications teams. In partnership with IT Infrastructure team creates, implements and executes enterprise-wide support for IT services, enabling powerful and effective planning, design, execution and support for much of the services IT provides to the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

• Leads all applications team within IT by providing inspirational situational management and continuous coaching, mentorship and development of staff. Provides overall direction, guidance and coaching to the applications teams. Directs overall operations of applications teams, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards, and setting deadlines. Fosters a collaborative, success-oriented team environment where resources are empowered and accountable
• Develops strategic and tactical technology plans and multi-year roadmaps for all business systems through collaboration and counsel with the business units, senior management, and IT leadership
• Collaborates with IT management and business partners to assess, prioritize, allocate and focus resources to production support, service requests and initiatives, ensuring a balanced delivery of services and solutions aligned with business objectives
• Enhances the convergence of IT and Business by establishing a business engagement discipline that will develop positive collaborative relationships, generate alignment, champion governance and provide productive technology consulting services to business units
• Delivers innovative technology solutions by selecting and implementing software applications, configuring and leveraging the software to meet our business challenges and integrating and automating solutions with a robust integration framework
• Defines disciplined frameworks for processes and procedures in accordance with departmental structures and industry best practices to ensure consistency in execution
• Communicates issues and presents potential resolutions to leadership
• Provides operational and fiscal oversight for all areas assigned. Participates in the annual budget and financial planning process for assigned departments, technical assets and related projects
• Champions and ensures compliance with organizational standards, practices, and methodologies
• Demonstrate Save Mart’s values in all aspects of service to employees and partners of Save Mart
• Performs other duties as assigned
