The Director of Business Development is responsible for driving business development and census by managing the admissions process at a skilled nursing center, building relationships with healthcare providers, discharge planners, and community representatives, supervising the admissions team, and partnering with the Administrator, Director of Nursing Services (DNS), and other leaders to overcome barriers to admissions and achieve census growth and stabilization.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in skilled nursing or hospital setting. Experience with admission coordination, outside sales, marketing plans, and public relations. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Individual must be a team player, well organized, self-motivated, and flexible.
Associates Degree or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
