Our Applications Engineer is the frontline in our fast-paced process, hands-on to ensure they stay current with the latest customer needs while optimizing our processes to provide world class quality and delivery.  A typical day could include trouble-shooting issues with internal customers, developing / testing continuous improvement initiatives, working with internal production teams to provide improved production processes.  With experience, applications engineers will participate and / or lead teams, on an ad-hoc basis, in support of strategic objectives.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Trouble-shooting issues with internal customers 
• Developing / testing /  documenting continuous improvement programs
• Working with internal customers and production teams on automated production processes
• With experience, applications engineers will participate and / or lead teams, on an ad-hoc basis, in support of strategic objectives.  

Experience

• Must have solid programming expertise – Perl, Java, Javascript, JSP, PHP, HTML, JDBC and Bash script under Linux environment.
• Familiar with Oracle database system and Mysql database system. Experience in database schema design and SQL programming.
• Familiar with J2EE with Tomcat application server architecture and Apache webserver.
• Experience in Agile software development methodology.
• Prefer experience working in the semiconductor industry
• Solid communications, technical writing and training skills
• Must be extremely detail oriented, with strong time management and follow through to escalate key issues and apply solid analytical and problem solving skills.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience preferred
