    Position Summary

    We are seeking a Lead Applications Engineer like you to join our amazing team.

    The Lead Applications Engineer manages analyses of qualitative and quantitative data and combines it with engineering expertise and application knowledge to interpret results that directly drive action. Often interacts with other functional areas across the tire and non-tire businesses. As well as working with test data and market intelligence to support the New Product Development process. In this role, you will interact with the Sales, Marketing, Legal, Manufacturing, and Design teams to understand product performance.

    The Lead Applications Engineer is a member of a team in charge of understanding product performance and application, including competitiveness in the marketplace; gathering, analyzing, and utilizing performance data from sources internally and externally. As well as generating market intelligence to drive awareness and product enhancement.

    Responsibilities

    In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

    • Develop quantitative metrics to define field performance and market intelligence.

    • Uses advanced analytical/technical problem-solving to develop new solutions to existing problems/procedures.

    • Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.

    • Analyze available data to find product performance insights and act as a liaison between groups to find root causes and countermeasures.

    • Serve as a technical point of contact in terms of product performance for the enterprise.

    • Schedule, communicate, plan resources, and track progress toward departmental technical projects.

    • Support the New Product Development Process through marketing claims. and other various data-driven documentation before product launch.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in technical field or data analysis and 5 years related experience or a master’s degree in same and 3 years related experience.

    • Significant attention to detail

    • Experience with data analysis software such as Alteryx and Tableau

    • Working knowledge of SQL

    • Advanced knowledge of Excel

    Minimum Qualifications

    Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent work experience
