We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Applications Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the manufacturing industry, where you will play a crucial role in driving the automation and optimization of our applications. You will have the chance to work directly with our customers, understand their needs, and deliver top-notch solutions that enhance their operations. This role also offers the opportunity to travel to customer work sites or other locations for training as needed.
Responsibilities:
1. Interact with customers to understand their needs and requirements, ensuring high-quality customer service and satisfaction. 2. Review and interpret customer drawings to understand the application requirements. 3. Design, program, and implement automation systems, including CNC tooling and robotics, to enhance manufacturing processes. 4. Set up and run demonstrations of automation systems for customers, showcasing the benefits and functionalities of the systems. 5. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the automation systems, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to the manufacturing process. 6. Collaborate with the engineering team to develop innovative automation solutions that improve efficiency and productivity. 7. Travel to customer work sites or other locations for training, demonstrations, or troubleshooting as needed. 8. Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers, team members, and management, providing regular updates on project progress and any issues encountered.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field. 2. A minimum of three years of experience in applications automation, preferably in the manufacturing industry. 3. Proven experience with CNC tooling, design, programming, and robotics is essential. 4. Expertise in Fanuc or similar automation system is highly desirable. 5. Strong customer-facing skills, with the ability to understand and interpret customer needs and translate them into effective solutions. 6. Experience in setting up and running demonstrations of automation systems. 7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to a non-technical audience. 8. Willingness to travel to customer work sites or other locations for training, demonstrations, or troubleshooting as needed. 9. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively and efficiently. 10. Ability to work well in a team, as well as independently, with minimal supervision.
