Applications Engineering Manager manages all solutions support activities, including the pre-sales scoping process and the post-sales design and implementation activities for complex technical products. Additionally, Applications Engineering Manager may deliver technical product training or information sessions to customers and internal audiences. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Applications Engineering Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

    As the Engineering Manager the incumbent will oversee the development and execution of projects, manages budgets, and supervises multiple teams. Collaborate with management, provide instructions to engineering teams, and ensure the successful completion of projects on time and within budget. Conduct research and development for new designs, products, and processes, while maintaining technical accuracy and coordinating work with other managers and associates.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Lead and manage a team of engineers to deliver high-quality products or projects on time and within budget.
    • Define project goals, scope, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Develop and implement engineering processes, best practices, and standards to ensure efficiency and quality.
    • Mentor and coach engineers to foster their professional growth and technical skills.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product management, design, and QA to drive successful project outcomes.
    • Manage project timelines, budgets, and risks, and report progress to senior management.
    • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing.


    REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
    • Proven experience (typically 5 years) in engineering management or leadership roles.
    • Strong technical background in areas relevant to the team's projects (e.g., software development, mechanical engineering, etc.).
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Experience in agile methodologies and project management tools.
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    • A track record of delivering successful engineering projects/products.
