Organizational Role

Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine.

Primary Function: Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, material, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference plans, locations of surfaces tolerances and machining parameters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plans, direct and manage each step of the CNC machining process utilizing best practices, policies and procedures, coordinate shipment for on time delivery.

• Utilize CNC programming standard to complete each part to be processed.

• Strategizes with management team and quality management; initiates sustainable process improvements for profit growth and customer satisfaction.

• Creates and conducts training programs; trains, coaches/mentors future and existing (CNC) programming staff.

• Support an action plan for the deployment of all aspects of Lean process improvement.

• Responsible for working with department managers in identifying areas for process improvement activities/events, establishing objectives for each project.

• Develop, determine and implement policies, procedures and programs.

• Monitor shop activity to ensure part is to specification, in line with cost requirements and schedules.

• Working with manufacturing, operations and quality control on design improvements.

• Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner

• Utilize and abide by ISO requirements and safety procedures

• Is flexible with time and schedule to assure availability to customer or company as circumstances warrant

• Utilize company assets to maximize uptime.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

• CNC: 1 year (Preferred)
• CNC programming: 3 years (Required)
