Being an Applications Programmer utilizes programming, scripting, or database language to produce efficient code. Performs unit testing of applications. Additionally, Applications Programmer produces application documentation, including process and data flow diagrams. Provides support for implementing, enhancing, integrating, and maintaining applications. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. The Applications Programmer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Other technical experience with Crystal Reports, SQL Reporting Services, SharePoint, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Mobile web development, and VMWare tools would be helpful. Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable including experience with production management systems (i.e: Majiq Elixir) and process data archive (PI). Other applications supported include vendor package systems (Proficy, StanleyPAC, WorkSight) and in-house developed applications. Knowledge-Skills-Abilities: Must be able to work well under pressure and within time constraints, multi-task, and build sound relationships with both internal and external customers. Must exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and computer skills. Must be capable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem-solving and detailed requirements-gathering. Must be able to work with ambiguity and change.
