Enhances operations by establishing metrics, analyzing processes, and implementing standard methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables. Being an Applications Programming Manager reviews development proposals, projects, timelines, resources, and costs. Leads feedback processes for peer reviews, code reviews, and design reviews. Additionally, Applications Programming Manager establishes a performance culture by incorporating individual and team coaching and mentoring to achieve excellence. May manage outsourcing budgets, vendors, or off-shore resources. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Applications Programming Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     Responsibilities:

    What You’ll do


    As a Business Application Manager you will be leading the planning, implementation, and optimization of Supply Chain and Planning & Forecasting applications across our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, a deep understanding of business processes, and the ability to leverage technology to drive operational excellence. As a key liaison between business units and IT, the Business Application Manager will play a crucial role in aligning technology solutions with business objectives. This role will lead a team of IT Business Analysts and Application Analysts for Supply Chain and Planning & Forecasting applications.
    • Gain solid understanding of the business process, workflows, and data requirements for each application package.
    • Establish close partnerships with Rural King departments inside and outside IT, as well as application vendors.
    • Work with project managers and developers to create scope, requirements, and detailed designs to meet business needs.
    • Document technical specifications run books and other requirements to support each application.
    • Plan and develop use-case test plans and perform unit testing.
    • Develop deep understanding of applications, supporting infrastructure, and systems integration.
    • Administer the packaged applications, including design and configuration.
    • Design, build, test, implement and maintain integrations between the packaged applications and other internal and external applications.
    • Lead change management initiatives related to the introduction of new applications or updates to existing ones.
    • Work closely with stakeholders to address concerns, promote user adoption, and ensure a smooth transition.
    • Design, build, test, implement, and maintain custom components and extensions as necessary for the packaged applications.
    • Assist with system administration tasks, including server upgrades, patch deployments, architecture review / design and general best practices.
    • Help define new business processes; data elements, and system change requests.
    • Provide on-call support for production applications.
    • Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for business applications, aligning technology solutions with business goals.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
    • Configure and monitor application performance, capacity, and response times.
    • Microsoft SQL Management (DB, Restore, BU, Maintenance)
    • Lead associates in a way that exemplifies the leadership principles taught in Rural King’s Thrive Leadership Program.
    • Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
    • Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
    • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

    Essential Qualities for Success


    • At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
    • 5 years’ experience supporting packaged applications.
    • Proficient in CRM, ERP, Workforce Mgmt., Supply Chain Mgmt. Applications
    • Proficient in Microsoft AD Mgmt. and Microsoft SQL Mgmt.
    • Excellent communication and documentation skills
    • Ability to participate in our online applicant and new hire onboarding process remotely.
    • Ability to complete computer-based training.
    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
    • Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.
    • Able to navigate and access all facilities.
    • Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.
    • Close vision for computer-related tasks.
