Applications Programming Manager manages teams and implements policies and procedures related to the design, analysis, testing, coding, and implementation of applications. Enhances operations by establishing metrics, analyzing processes, and implementing standard methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables. Being an Applications Programming Manager reviews development proposals, projects, timelines, resources, and costs. Leads feedback processes for peer reviews, code reviews, and design reviews. Additionally, Applications Programming Manager establishes a performance culture by incorporating individual and team coaching and mentoring to achieve excellence. May manage outsourcing budgets, vendors, or off-shore resources. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Applications Programming Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Applications Programming Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Duties & Responsibilities:  (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships)
     
    ENDORSEMENT REQUIRED: 5-12 Secondary endorsement required with a preference in ELA or Math
     
    • Must be able to build relationships with students with a variety of social, behavioral, and academic needs.
    • Provide remedial and grade level instruction.
    • Must be willing to be trained in Ingenuity.
    • Must be willing to teach executive functioning skills.
    • Must be willing to be trained in Check and Connect
    • Must be willing to work with other building personnel to provide appropriate support to Program students.
    • Assist Program students with goal setting for short- and long-term success in the classroom and beyond.
    • Participate in home visits for Program students when appropriate.   
    • Act as a liaison between Program students, families & school personnel for identified students. 
    • Assist students with developing healthy & effective organizational/study habits to be successful in school & life.
    • Must be trained or willing to be trained in restorative practices, trauma responsive practices, and culturally responsive teaching.
    • Must implement building wide PBIS practices in support of building and district goals.
    • Must be willing to support and implement multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) for both academics and behavior.
    • Keep accurate, up-to-date records on students participating in mentoring, tutoring, & school & community activities related to the Bridges Program
    • Certified teacher required.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Must be able to implement Crisis Prevention Intervention strategies, including de-escalation, appropriate physical restraint procedures and escorting.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to -
    • Sit, stand, speak, hear, see, and walk to carry out routine duties. 
    • Must be able to occasionally lift, move, or push items of 50 lbs. such as assisting children or moving/rearranging furniture.
    • Must be able to supervise students in all types of weather.
    • Meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.
    • Must be able to implement Crisis Prevention Intervention strategies, including appropriate physical restraint procedures and escorting.

    • Possess strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child achieves success.
    • Possesses the ability to work effectively in small or larger teams and independently.
    • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficient with technology skills necessary to complete job duties.
    • Maintain flexibility in day-to-day interactions with staff and students.
    • Maintain confidentiality of information regarding students.
    • Awareness of district requirements and Board of Education policies.
    • Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
