Applications Programming Manager manages teams and implements policies and procedures related to the design, analysis, testing, coding, and implementation of applications. Enhances operations by establishing metrics, analyzing processes, and implementing standard methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables. Being an Applications Programming Manager reviews development proposals, projects, timelines, resources, and costs. Leads feedback processes for peer reviews, code reviews, and design reviews. Additionally, Applications Programming Manager establishes a performance culture by incorporating individual and team coaching and mentoring to achieve excellence. May manage outsourcing budgets, vendors, or off-shore resources. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Applications Programming Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Applications Programming Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Programming & Speaker Coordinator

  • The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) is looking for a Programming & Speaker Coordinator to join the team.

     

    Job Summary

    The Programming & Speaker Coordinator supports IAPP events with speaker coordination from the request for proposal process to the onsite coordination of the IAPP faculty.

     

    Job Responsibilities 

    • Support the IAPP’s 12 annual events around the world by helping ensure conference programs are led by world class speakers.
    • Produce and coordinate sponsored live and on-demand content for web conferences.
    • Work with advisory boards in process of identifying topics and speakers for our conferences and web conferences and other virtual events as needed.
    • Liaise with speakers to coordinate logistics and ensure program/speaker-related deadlines and requirements are met.
    • Coordinate delivery of programming at events by organizing room assignments and set ups, audio/visual requirements, and room monitors including materials preparation, training and on-site functions.
    • Work closely with Events, Marketing, Communications, Publications, Sales and Research teams to build educational conferences and other programs for privacy professionals.
    • Maintain speaker database with current and historical data.
    • Utilize these software/tools for contributor and content management and internal/external communication: Zoom, Salesforce, Smartsheet, Marketo, Aventri, QuestionPro, MS Office.
    • Includes budget tracking, customer service and reporting duties.
    • Ability to travel to IAPP events as assigned, including internationally approximately 1 – 5 times per year.
    • Additional duties as assigned

     

    Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent from a four year college; and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Proficient in MS Office applications
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
