To accomplish this, the Provost's Office is seeking an Associate Director for Academic Programming and Accreditation. The person in this role will play a key support role in the creation, execution, project management and analysis, and support functions for key initiatives and committees led by the Assistant Provost for Academic Diversity and Inclusion and the Director of Academic Affairs. Essential to the role is a commitment to equity and a lens that keeps diversity and inclusion at the forefront; aptitude with qualitative and quantitative data; the ability to consider and attend to numerous stakeholders; and an appreciation for the collaboration and relationships that lead to learning and success in any endeavor.
Specific duties include:
- Obtain and analyze qualitative and quantitative data; contribute to the writing and editing of reports, provide operational expertise for relevant initiatives.
- Documenting and organizing records for the committees and initiatives in the Assistant Provost's portfolio, partnering with the Assistant Provost for Diversity and Inclusion to translate strategic insights into effective operations and initiatives sponsored by the office.
- The Associate Program Director will conduct vetting of all reports with critical constituencies and facilitate dialogue with the University's partners to ensure that Notre Dame's efforts exemplify best practices.
- Facilitate the work of key committees and initiatives, generate and manage the office's reports and documentation, analyze data and use it to inform operational strategy; and write proposals and reports on behalf of the Provost's office.
- Moreover, the person in this role will obtain, generate and analyze reports and manage the operating and historical file systems. Organize and manage access for accreditation related data for annual updates to the University's accrediting bodies.
- Recommend, create, and develop reporting formats on various issues for use in internal and external presentations. After initial drafts are written, convene faculty working groups to vet with relevant constituencies to review and verify data and conclusions.
- Manage the new programs working group; review files for the annual process for faculty appointment, reappointment, promotion, and tenure processes as a member of the Provost's Office staff that works on this annual effort.
- Initiate and respond to inquiries from both internal and external parties regarding the accreditation process and content.
The Associate Director for Academic Programming and Accreditation role will require a high level of relationship building; independent judgment; initiative; and discretion. Also critical are project management and analytical skills; the ability to communicate clearly in writing and presentations; and the ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality.
