    The College is looking for exceptional colleagues to join the MVCC community. We are currently seeking a full-time Coordinator of Assessment and Academic Programming our Assessment and College In Prison Program (CIPP) offices. The Coordinator of Assessment and Academic Programming works collaboratively with the Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs to provide analysis of external data for program development or enhancement recommendations. They will coordinate curriculum submission to State University of New York (SUNY) and State Education Department (SED). The Coordinator of Assessment and Academic Programming co-coordinates with the Department of Corrections Educational Supervisor to develop and deliver MVCC curriculum to students in the prison system.

    Key responsibilities for this position include:

    • Coordinates program development through the College, Board of Trustees, SUNY, and SED processes, maintaining a schedule and tracking system for proposals and reviews;
    • Submits all proposals to SUNY for courses requesting General Education status and ensures the accuracy on the SUNY website;
    • Co-facilitates the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS)/ College In Prison Program (CIPP) and works with the Department of Corrections Volunteer Coordinator to process and guide instructors who teach in the prison;
    • Coordinates and conducts student interviews for the College In Prison Program (CIPP);
    • Implements, organizes, coordinates, and analyzes programmatic, curricular, and student outcome components of the College;
    • Coordinates and evaluates various assessment efforts for academic programs within the College;
    • Prepares assessment reports for dissemination to internal and external audiences;
    • Leads comprehensive review of curriculum with purpose of developing policy and procedure focused on program refinement and curricular strengthening;
    • Administers, designs, and maintains the use of college assessment technology;
    • Provides training and assistance to college employees in the use of assessment software;
    • Performs other duties as related to this job description and as assigned by the Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs.

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Ability to multi-task, self-initiate, and work cooperatively
    • Ability to collect, analyze and present data in cohesive manner
    • Effective organizational and communication skills (oral and written)
    • Valid driver’s license at time of and duration of employment
    • Meet the clearance requirements to work in the prison (background check, finger printing, etc.)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Five (5) years’ experience in assessment
    • Experience with higher education IT and data systems, relational databases
    • Master’s degree in a related field or required with an emphasis on assessment, curriculum development or information technology
