    This position is primarily based in a location within PNC's footprint. Responsibilities require time in the office or in a field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities can be performed remotely. Additional locations may be considered.

    As an Infrastructure Engineer you will be required to install, configure, test & deploy mainframe system software components across multiple sysplexes; provide technical support to MIS & End Users and coach junior staff. In addition, this position will require general platform support, automating manual tasks, troubleshooting, issue resolution and on-call duties.

    Your hours will vary depending on the activities of any given week. Within the day, there will be a varying amount of activity, with a pace set by demands from your service partners as well as business dynamics. In your role, you will draw upon your skills to fulfill opportunities and challenges to problem solve, strategize and create process improvements.     The ideal candidate will have Systems Programming experience installing, configuring and supporting the z/OS platform software and program products and possess skills to develop automated pipeline deployment tools.
    • Using z/OS, SMP/e and Mainframe JCL, System Utilities, Microsoft Excel, z/OSMF, ZOWE and other emerging technologies.
    • Programming experience in one or more of the following languages – REXX, CLIST, SAS, Cobol, ASM, Python
    • Knowledge to support one of more of these is a plus – CA-7, CA-OPSMVS, XPT/r, SAS, CA-DATACOM, restAPIs, Broadcom & BMC tools.
    • Working knowledge of Syncsort, ISPF, ISPF Dialogs, REXX, Fileaid, CA-ACF2, DF/DSS, IDCAMS, Unix System Services
    • Familiarity with TCP/IP, NDM, VSAM, User Exits, Sharepoint, JIRA, Topaz, Service Now, incident and change processes
