This Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) Programmer creates drawings and code to automate power driven machines from Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) programs using CAD/CAM software. This individual should be able to determine the manufacturing process of a new product from the holding stage to the finish product. This individual is responsible for reading / interpreting design blueprints, programming, and troubleshooting CNC machine related issues until the desired specifications are met. | |||||||

1. | Previous work experience as a CAM programmer: preferably 2 yrs or more. | ||||||
2. | Evaluates machining efficiency of completed designs to validate cost and CNC product turnaround. | ||||||
3. | Able to create 3D programming of structure / component using solid modeling without assistance. | ||||||
4. | Requires use of basic and complex geometric, algebraic, and trigonometric computations. | ||||||
5. | Requires use of concepts to complex / practical situations: fractions, ratios, proportions. | ||||||
6. | Makes improvements to set up times for a task and contouring of complex shapes. | ||||||
7. | Must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time, paying close attention to detail. | ||||||
8. | Able to work independently with minimial guidance on operational and technical challenges. | ||||||
9. | Able to work with minimal supervision, efficiently schedule and manage time. | ||||||
10. | Able to make improvements to setup times for a mutiple tasks and contouring of complex shapes. | ||||||
11. | Serve as an information source on planning / CNC scheduling and CAD design troubleshooting. | ||||||
12. | Work is project based and can involve working to tight deadlines, and providing updates or changes to plans last minute; required to work on multiple projects at once. | ||||||
13. | High school diploma or GED, Associates degree or specialized certification preferred; proficiency with inputting designs into the computer modeling software, or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides required knowledge, skills, and abilities. | ||||||

14. | This position shares an office and manufacturing environment, located in Mansfield, Ohio. | ||||||
15. | There will be regular presence on the manufacturing floor, where dust and noise may be present. | ||||||
16. | There may be off-site equipment training, as needed. | ||||||
17. | Office-based position requiring consecutive hours at a computer or drawing desk for extended periods of time. | ||||||
18. | Open manufacturing floor setting, with maintained temperatures to a limited capacity. | ||||||
19. | This is a full-time, onsite position that requires successful completion of the following: Pre-Employment drug screening and Pre-Employment background screening. | ||||||
