Description

Stephens College invites applications for part-time (adjunct) instructors for Fall, 2024 and/or Spring, 2025 for the following courses or topics. Stephens College is transitioning to a block system in Fall, 2024. Most courses will be offered over a 3.5 week period (18 course days). Most lecture sessions for on-campus courses will be scheduled for ~ 3 hours each day to be completed prior to noon, with lab courses also meeting in the afternoon. Online courses (see below) can be scheduled for 8 or 16 week sessions.

• Introductory mathematics (college algebra, calculus) and statistics courses (in-person or online). 
• Introductory computer information systems courses (in person).
• Introductory courses serving majors and nonmajors in general biology, environmental science, physical science, and health science (in person or online).

The successful candidate will:

Teach one or more courses in person or online using existing course materials and LMS, including lab sections where appropriate.

Requirements

1. Earned M.S. relevant field of assigned course.

2. Desire to teach at collegiate or university level and excellent communication skills.

Highly Desired:

1. Ph.D. in relevant field of assigned course.

2. Experience teaching at the collegiate or university level.
