Applications Programming Supervisor supervises the teams and daily activities needed for the analysis, testing, coding, and implementation of applications. Monitors operational metrics and processes and implements standard methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables. Being an Applications Programming Supervisor supports multiple development projects with scheduling, planning, and resource allocation. Conducts feedback processes, including peer reviews, code reviews, and design reviews. Additionally, Applications Programming Supervisor fosters a performance culture using individual and team coaching and mentoring to achieve excellence. May supervise vendors or off-shore resources. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Applications Programming Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Applications Programming Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     About the role

     

    This role supports applications and platforms for our supply business, by participating in implementation, support, administration, modification and enhancements of applications through major and minor projects. Manage Supply system issues as they arise, perform initial triage and second level support, ensuring minimal disruption to the operation. 

     

    Systems Development

     

    • Maintain holistic knowledge of business processes, integrations and systems solutions. Oversee enhancements and updates to IT Systems, liaising with third parties, IT and end users as required
    • Execute integration, regression, and/or system/user acceptance testing as required 
    • Document all work completed which may include functional specifications, technical specifications, configuration workbooks, change requests, user training guides etc
    • Maintain knowledge of the current application releases and toolsets
    • Support other team members in mitigating any risks, resolving emerging issues and implementation of new initiatives or change as required
    • Facilitate small workshops to align, collate requirements and / or present findings, providing insightful feedback and analysis to technical and business stakeholders on the suitability of approaches to meet business requirements
    • Implement/participant in small scale proof of concepts activity for trialling new technology and third-party services
    • Undertake project based or any other relevant duties as directed

     

    Systems Adoption

     

    • Provide training for platform systems
    • Provide assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications, platforms and technology

     

    Support

     

    • Support and provide inputs to the external managed service providers in execution of application work
    • Be accountable for investigating and managing issues (L2 support) proposing solutions / workarounds and escalating to the appropriate party to the point of resolution

     

    About you:

     

    • You have a Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
    • You have experience with at least one ERP (JD Edwards preferred)
    • You quickly learn new technologies and processes
    • You have experience in SDLC methodology
    • You have led small projects, initiatives and enhancements.
    • You are experienced in gathering requirements
    • You have demonstrated examples of analytical and problem-solving skills
    • You are a self-starter and able to work semi-independently
    • You are adaptable to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and managing business needs in a rapidly changing environment
    • You have proven ability to maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that works well with clients, customers, co-workers and management
    • You are able to deal efficiently with escalations and difficult situations/people under pressure
    • You are service oriented and possess ability to translate technical ideas into non-technical language
    • You have strong intellectual capacity, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to collaborate effectively
    • You have excellent task management and organizational skills

    Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $111,000 - $125,000 per year. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out of Napa, CA. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
