Support Systems Associates Inc. is a privately owned, nationwide company that specializes in engineering, logistics, production, and management services to both Government and industry. Our corporate offices are located in Melbourne, FL and a facility in Warner Robins, GA.
Our Warner Robins facility includes office and manufacturing space to support production and maintenance of mission systems and aircraft modification kits in addition to a variety of logistics inventory needs. This operation is currently executing multiple programs with electrical fabrication, back-shop avionics equipment repairs, testing and final assembly. This operation is currently executing multiple programs which provide engineering and logistics services for the modification of aircraft.
SSAI is certified to AS9100. SSAI’s core capabilities include mechanical, electrical, and electronic design, test, avionics engineering, software engineering, aircraft modification design/installation, modification kit production, and related logistics services.
The individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Seeking an Electronic Technician type individual who will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting and repairing legacy avionics components in order to certify that the component is ready for return to service in accordance with industry regulations. In this position, these components, which can be upwards of 30 years old, consist of power supplies, signal generators, voltage regulators, and general circuit boards. Applicant must be able to troubleshoot down to the component level and replace resistors, diodes, transistors etc. Experience in a variety of diagnostic equipment to include multi-meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters, logic analyzers, distortion analyzers, and high voltage probes and a variety of tools and precision measuring instruments is preferred. Must be capable of measuring output load on a circuit. Experience reading and troubleshooting schematics and wiring diagrams is required. Position is full time through the end of the delivery order and/or asset supply volume.
Individual must be able to apply technical knowledge to perform fabrication, assembly, soldering, repair, modification and installation of electrical components. Install parts for electronic subsystem installation in military systems as required. Must be able to read and interpret engineering specifications from drawings and schematics while accomplishing work IAW prescribed work order travelers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associate’s Degree in scientific, engineering, or technical field and/or 15 years of electronic technician experience.
Basic electronics training required and knowledge of power values, power reading, digital theory, and Ohm’s Law
Aviation electronics (to include prior military) technicians, who have experience in troubleshooting with thru-hole repair preferred.
Prior PMEL or TMDE experience a plus.
J-STD-001 Certification Required (SSAI can certify/recertify, if necessary).
