Applications Support Technician provides technical support to the team responsible for a subset of business systems applications. Provides assistance in one or all areas of applications programming that includes testing, design and analysis. Being an Applications Support Technician assists in the formulation of procedures and best practices for users of applications. Typically requires an associate degree or its equivalent. Additionally, Applications Support Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Applications Support Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Position Summary
Evolve Additive Solutions is a fast-growing, innovative manufacturer of advanced 3D printers and high-value polymer parts. We have a new 3D printing technology that is cost-effective for high volume production as well as being fast and flexible for prototyping – with quality competitive with injection molding.
You will help Evolve’s parts customers get the most out of our technology by working with them to tailor their product designs to our processes and finding the best ways for us to print and finish their orders.
You are passionate about manufacturing and product design, are fast and accurate in CAD, and committed to getting projects done on time, with all details correct.
Responsibilities
• Assist customers in optimizing their product designs to take advantage of Evolve’s unique polymer 3D printing technology
• Follow-up customer printing projects to deliver quality results on-time
• Perform build-preparation tasks including job configuration and work-order routing
• Perform quality assurance tasks such as part inspection and 3D scanning
• Perform printing operation and printer maintenance tasks
• Give feedback to Product Engineering on printer performance and part quality
Minimum Qualifications
• AS in a manufacturing-related technical area
• Authorized to work in the United States and without travel restrictions
• Computer-aided Design (CAD) training. SolidWorks or Fusion 360 certification preferred
• Work experience in manufacturing
• Advanced maker skills – ability to make things that look clean and professional and work properly
• Clear, grammatical writing and speech
• Strong customer-care skills, and a customer-first attitude
• General dependability and responsibility to get complex projects done without supervision
