Advacare Home Services has been a locally owned and operated home medical equipment and respiratory services company since 1996 with locations in Winston Salem and Greensboro, North Carolina and Apollo, Beaver and Bridgeville, Pennsylvania.

We have expanded our services to Winston Salem, NC. and we are excited to be looking to add a new member to the team as a Respiratory Support Technician

This position will based in the Winston Salem Office.

The Respiratory Care Practitioner responsibilities will include:

• Set-up and educate patient &/or caregivers in the safe operation of devices such as home oxygen systems, CPAP & BiLevel systems, aerosol nebulizers & suction machines/compressors
• Develop a Plan of Care for all respiratory patients, based on identified needs.
• Complete environmental assessments on all patients including an oxygen fire safety risk assessment
• Conduct initial and periodic patient assessments according to the patient’s plan of care and Company policy, providing feedback to ordering physicians when indicated
• Perform ongoing follow-up, to assure proper equipment functioning, and/or patient compliance to therapy ordered.
• Monitor patient equipment to assure that routine service is performed in accordance with manufacturer’s/Company policy.
• Accurately maintain all paperwork.
• Comply with all applicable Company policies & procedures.
• Assist in program development, service evaluation, and new product evaluation as requested by the Respiratory Coordinator/Facility Supervisor
• Assume on call responsibilities for after-hour respiratory set-ups and equipment failures in accordance with Company policies & procedures.

Experience/Knowledge:

• Minimum 1 year clinical experience
• Knowledge of home care products helpful

License Requirements:

• CPR certified
• Basic Life Support
• Valid Drivers License.

Weekly schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• DME: 1 year (Preferred)
• Respiratory therapy: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location: In person Responsibilities:

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Respiratory Technician or similar role as EMT or LPN
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 7)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
