Applications Systems Analyst analyzes, designs, and troubleshoots an organization's information technology systems and processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness. Uses defined policies and procedures to evaluate and design new IT systems or enhance existing systems to integrate with current and future needs. Being an Applications Systems Analyst tests and evaluates the compatibility and integration of new systems with existing infrastructure, networks, and applications. Designs models and utilizes analysis and solution development methods, including process maps, flow charts, and diagrams. Additionally, Applications Systems Analyst supports management with project planning, risk assessment, and project tracking to deliver timely IT solutions within budget. May create coding and logic specifications for developers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Applications Systems Analyst work is closely managed.     JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develops, writes and reviews quotations for new and existing accounts, which includes:
      1. Optimizing price on quotations by setting the most appropriate strategies for a particular situation with the goal of positioning NTS to win the work
      2. Assisting in the day-to-day overall quoting process assuring the quotations are accurate, complete and delivered on time
      3. Help prioritize to meet schedules
      4. Address/resolve any quote issues
      5. Assist sales with capturing the booking
    • Participates in weekly meetings with facility GM, AEs and Sales to review open/pending quotes
    • Actively involved, works with AEs, Sales (RSMs and CSRs) and GM to review quoting process and to ensure appropriate winning strategy on quotes. Answers technical questions from Sales personnel and clients.
    • Support the overall quoting process to increase bookings and meet financial goals of revenue and ebidta.
    • Maintains an in-depth technical knowledge of all NTS services, current awareness of the business objectives, unique strengths/competitive advantages and current capacity utilization for each type of service provided by all NTS facilities and markets.
    • Develops a keen understanding and on-going awareness of all aspects of the external environment affecting our business. This includes maintaining current and on-going information regarding the capabilities and business climate of our competitors, the economic and regulatory environments, supplier information, labor market conditions and the industry/market trends for the various segments we serve and services that NTS offers.
    • Performs customer follow up to capture the customer sale.  Pulls in support from management or sales, when necessary, to win.
    • Assist other Application Engineers as required
    • Performs other duties as may be assigned

     

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must possess the ability to gain a clear understanding of customer requirements and develop complex project solutions involving existing NTS resources
    • Sound knowledge of testing business in areas such as Environmental, Mechanical, Dynamics Vibration/Shock or EMI.
    • Knowledge of customer service principles, techniques, systems, and standards is required
    • Must be able to sell testing and engineering services to prospects using the sales and testing tools from NTS; strong customer interface skills are a must
    • Ability to develop and conduct formal presentations and make cold/warm calls on an on-going basis
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must have superior time management skills, and committed to meeting deadlines
    • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-term goal
    • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, with limited direction from management
    • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment

     

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • BS degree in engineering or relevant science discipline

    6-8 years of experience in the laboratory testing field
