Applications Systems Analyst analyzes, designs, and troubleshoots an organization's information technology systems and processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness. Uses defined policies and procedures to evaluate and design new IT systems or enhance existing systems to integrate with current and future needs. Being an Applications Systems Analyst tests and evaluates the compatibility and integration of new systems with existing infrastructure, networks, and applications. Designs models and utilizes analysis and solution development methods, including process maps, flow charts, and diagrams. Additionally, Applications Systems Analyst supports management with project planning, risk assessment, and project tracking to deliver timely IT solutions within budget. May create coding and logic specifications for developers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Applications Systems Analyst work is closely managed.     To be eligible for this role, all interested parties must be willing to sit on-site in either Manchester, NH or Ashaway, RI. 

    Position Summary

    Responsible for managing, installing, testing, documenting, training, and supporting third-party software applications.

     

    Essential Functions

    • Install, configure, test, and maintain software applications.
    • Monitor and test application performance for potential bugs or improvements, identify possible solutions, and work with developers and vendors to implement those fixes.
    • Interface with third-party software vendors throughout the software application lifecycle.
    • Provide technical training and support for company employees on software applications.
    • Create and maintain documentation to support software applications.
    • Support Manufacturing Operations specific applications including D365 PFE (Microsoft Dynamic 365 Production Floor Execution), NiceLabel, RFSmart, Label printing, MES (AVEVA Solutions), etc.

    • Immediately report unsafe conditions/behaviors and work-related injuries to site supervision.

    • Strong verbal and written communications skills for communication with management, co-workers, outside vendors, etc.


    Supervisory Responsibility
     
    This position is not responsible for the oversight or performance management of other employees.


    Physical Demands

    • Must distinguish colors and pass a colorblind test
    • Finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination for operation of office equipment, including PC
    • Sitting for periods of time, working at a desk in office environment
    • Light lifting, carrying of files, supplies, ability to move, carry, lift up to 30 lbs. of objects
    • Ability to speak and hear customers, vendors, and or other employees via phone or in person 
    • Requires sufficient autonomy, standing and walking to move for one office location to another and throughout the plant

     

    Travel

    Up to 25% travel between the two plant facilities that are being supported.    

     

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant degree/experience.
    • 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
