Applications Systems Analyst analyzes, designs, and troubleshoots an organization's information technology systems and processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness. Uses defined policies and procedures to evaluate and design new IT systems or enhance existing systems to integrate with current and future needs. Being an Applications Systems Analyst tests and evaluates the compatibility and integration of new systems with existing infrastructure, networks, and applications. Designs models and utilizes analysis and solution development methods, including process maps, flow charts, and diagrams. Additionally, Applications Systems Analyst supports management with project planning, risk assessment, and project tracking to deliver timely IT solutions within budget. Since 1954 the Central California Blood Center (CCBC) has been the leading source of blood products for the Central Valley. Job Summary & Distinguishing Characteristics
The entry level class in this professional analytical series. Initially under close supervision, incumbents perform the more routine data driven analytics, reporting activities, and critical CCBC applications support while learning CCBC operations and systems analyses work. As experience is gained, duties become more diversified and are performed under more general supervision. Will be responsible for learning the full structure and functionality of current blood banking system (MAK-SYSTEM eProgesa), and its Cloud based operation and assist in its implementation and maintenance as well as other supporting software systems and interfaces. The Applications Systems Analyst should have basic to intermediate level of skill competency in using various scripting tools and applications to create and distribute data required for business needs.
