Responsibilities and Expectations
- Manage, coach and train others on internal procedures.
- Train others on how to complete evaluations.
- Train others on how to order appraisals.
- Train others on completing evaluation reviews.
- Train others to trouble shoot internal evaluations and appraisal issues.
- Manage the Equity Bank Real Estate Collateral Process Understand and follow the real estate appraisal and evaluation regulations as defined by the Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines and FAQ SR05-5.
- Assist loan officers and loan assistants with the appraisal ordering process
- Administrate the Mercury Appraisal Management System
- Complete compliance appraisal reviews as needed
- Complete real estate collateral evaluations per regulatory guidelines.
- Internal and External Communication Communicate appraisal and internal evaluation guidelines throughout the bank to lending staff.
- Assist management in the effective communication of regulatory guidelines and internal bank policies surrounding appraisals and internal evaluations.
- Real Estate Collateral Process Training Lead staff training for compliance appraisal reviews and internal real estate evaluations.
- Assist Loan Officers and Loan Assistants with the appraisal ordering process
- Create and update procedure guidelines for training and internal bank reference
- Utilize written and oral communication skills to relay and acquire information to and from both internal and external customers
- Develop and maintain a positive professional image for Equity Bank
- Create a friendly, customer service image to internal and external customers.
- Understand and follow the applicable laws and regulations for job responsibilities including but not limited to Equity Bank Business Ethic and Conduct policy, Bank Secrecy Act, Information security, and Suspicious Activity reporting requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Required Skills & Education
- Certificate from college or technical school 6-12 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of commercial and residential real estate appraisals and/or evaluations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good problem solving and time management skills.
- Good planning, organizational and prioritization skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- May require an Appraisal certificate.

Physical Requirements
