APPRAISAL MANAGER leads a team of appraisers conducting assessments, valuations, and appraisal reviews of real estate, land, and other personal property to establish the market value generally used for lending, insurance, or other purposes. Establishes processes for conducting on-site inspections of property and data collection required to perform valuations. Being an APPRAISAL MANAGER follows generally accepted appraisal practice concepts and practices to perform data analysis, develop valuation estimates, and write comprehensive reports and exhibits. Ensures appraisal documentation and appraiser certification comply with all regulations. Additionally, APPRAISAL MANAGER performs appraisal quality reviews to ensure appropriate valuation and minimize risk. Creates process efficiencies with appraisal software tools and databases. May require a bachelor's degree. Has the Member of the Appraisal Institute (SRPA) or similar designation. Requires a State Appraiser License. Typically reports to a director. The APPRAISAL MANAGER manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an APPRAISAL MANAGER typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We are currently looking to hire an outgoing, energetic, and attentive manager! We are an independently owned and operated axe throwing venue in Ellensburg, WA. We strive to be Ellensburg’s premier entertainment venue. As the manager of Central Axe your responsibilities will be, but not limited to, facilitating a friendly and safe environment for all throwers, growing sales, and providing customer service.

    Don't worry if you have never thrown an axe. Experience is not needed. We will provide all the techniques needed to wield the axes and the proper knowledge to facilitate an engaging experience for all. An applicant with a background in customer service, hospitality, and marketing is preferred.

    Summary of Responsibilities:

    Leadership/Management:

    • Lead team and 1:1 staff meetings
    • Manage new employee onboarding
    • Enforce disciplinary action when necessary
    • Represent Central Axe Throwing in an enthusiastic, fun, and professional manner
    • Responsible for making sure service to customers is delivered in accordance with Central Axe Throwing standards at all times

    Coaching:

    • Help customers learn how to throw safely
    • Assist customers regarding axe throwing experiences and booking

    Operations:

    • Guide the smooth conduct of events, including tournament set-up, scoring, payment processing etc.
    • Participate in the sale of alcohol/wine and merchandise
    • Maintain inventory of snacks and drinks

    Safety:

    • Ensure equipment is up to standard, procedures followed and first response delivered in exceptional cases
    • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage

    Facilities:

    • Maintain targets as well as support the set-up/clean-up etc. as needed including concessions

    Other duties:

    - Marketing efforts Social media/website contributions

    - Member retention efforts including activities/events, initiatives, and campaigns

    - Community partner outreach

    Qualifications:

    • CPR/AED certified
    • Prefer retail, amusement or hospitality experience
    • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
    • Strong ability to coach and manage time
    • Public speaking experience is a plus
    • Comfortable engaging with large groups of people
