Appraiser (Residential Real Estate) conducts residential real estate appraisals to establish the market value generally used for lending, insurance, or other purposes. Follows standard processes for conducting on-site property inspections, data collection, and research relevant market conditions required to perform valuations. Being an Appraiser (Residential Real Estate) investigates the quality of the construction, the overall condition of the property, and the surrounding location. Uses generally accepted appraisal practice concepts and practices to perform data analysis, develop valuation estimates, and write comprehensive reports and exhibits. Additionally, Appraiser (Residential Real Estate) utilizes appraisal software tools and databases. Ensures that reports comply with required policies, formats, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. May require the Member of the Appraisal Institute (SRA) or similar designation. Requires a State Appraiser License. Typically reports to a manager. JOB SUMMARY
This is an entry-level technical position under the immediate supervision of the Assistant Manager of Field Operations, and under the general direction of the Manager of Field Operations.
This position provides the collection and verification of data from real property for ad valorem appraisal purposes. Work is reviewed by the training staff during the quality management process to evaluate production levels, accuracy and uniformity of work product.
