Appraiser Sr. (Residential Real Estate) conducts residential real estate appraisals to establish the market value generally used for lending, insurance, or other purposes. Follows standard processes for conducting on-site property inspections, data collection, and research relevant market conditions required to perform valuations. Being an Appraiser Sr. (Residential Real Estate) investigates the quality of the construction, the overall condition of the property, and the surrounding location. Uses generally accepted appraisal practice concepts and practices to perform data analysis, develop valuation estimates, and write comprehensive reports and exhibits. Additionally, Appraiser Sr. (Residential Real Estate) utilizes appraisal software tools and databases. Ensures that reports comply with required policies, formats, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. May require the Member of the Appraisal Institute (SRA) or similar designation. Requires a State Appraiser License. Typically reports to a manager. The Appraiser Sr. (Residential Real Estate) work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Applicants must have at least 4 years relevant residential and/or commercial conveyancing experience and will independently coordinate and manage multiple closings as well as have knowledge of title requirements for real estate transactions.
Every day is different in this business but key tasks for the position would be to manage the file once it is opened through closing, including settlement statement preparation.
A successful candidate will be a self-starter who thrives under pressure, while paying attention to details and deadlines, with a keen sense for problem solving and can work in a team environment.
Software experience using Outlook, E-Closing and Simplifile. Compensation based upon experience.
