Architect is responsible for performing design computations, compiling data, and completing rudimentary architectural assignments. Works from the designs of others to prepare sketches, preliminary drawings, and schematic designs. Being an Architect prepares project estimates and completes architectural plans/renderings following specific instructions. Prepares reports and specifications as requested. Additionally, Architect may participate in an architectural internship or professional development program. May be working towards obtaining architecture license. Requires a bachelor's degree in architecture. Typically reports to a manager. The Architect work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     What You'll Be Doing
    • Work in a team with other smart AIS employees and use cutting edge technologies to solve challenging enterprise problems
    • Apply your skills in Azure Cognitive Services, Azure PaaS, data science, data analytics, and data warehousing to pioneer Azure cloud and data services 
    • Use experience working with Azure Data & Storage, Azure Analytics & Azure IoT tools, as well as the traditional Microsoft BI stack
    • Provide mentorship to more junior consultants
    Location and Travel Details
    This is a remote position but after COVID restrictions lifted must be able to travel occasionally to Kansas and or Georgia. 
    Profile of Success
    • Minimum of interim Secret required
    • Ability to apply your skills in Azure Cognitive Services, Azure PaaS, data science, data analytics, and data warehousing to pioneer Azure cloud and data services within the DoD, bringing Azure Data Factory to IL4 & IL5
    • Work in a team with other smart AIS employees and use cutting edge technologies to solve challenging enterprise problems
    • Use experience working with Azure Data & Storage, Azure Analytics & Azure IoT tools, as well as the traditional Microsoft BI stack
    • Must possess strong mentorship abilities to train junior colleagues
    • Proven experience developing Big Data solutions in the Azure space
    • Experience with the Azure suite (Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Data Lake Analytics, HDInsight, Machine Learning, and Stream Analytics)
    • SQL Server 2014/2016 experience
    • Experience using Spark, Hive, Pig, and Scala
    • Comfortable with Microsoft Full Stack (SSAS/SSIS/SSRS)
    • In-depth knowledge of Data Warehousing and ETL/ELT
    • Proven ability to work with clients to understand requirements and to envision solutions
    Desirable Skills
    • Background with Data Science tools such as R, Python, and SAS is a plus
    • Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
    • Microsoft related certifications
