Senior Architect

Increasing our presence, brand and client base is a priority for BL Companies. We are looking to hire a Senior Architect with 10 years of experience to work side by side with the Senior Project Manager in the office to provide quality services to our clients. This Senior Architect will be primarily responsible for all technical aspects of design production, as well as oversight and managing of all design documents and organization of the production team.

In addition to acting as the main point of contact for all technical questions, the candidate should also possess strong collaboration skills, proficient writing skills and excellent communication skills. The ability to mentor and develop junior architects is a plus and proactivity and accountability are skills highly valued at BL.

Responsibilities Include:

• Drive the full scope of technical production
• Organize and oversee team to create design to client specifications with a focus on building detailing and constructability
• Review all building documents during Quality Assurance process with a focus on accurate and realistic details
• Mentor and Develop Junior Staff in all technical aspects of design

Required Experience:

• 10 years experience with commercial/retail/industrial production design required
• RA Licensure strongly preferred
• Experience with construction administration preferred
• Experience designing/updating projects in Revit required
