Dansbury Design & Drafting is seeking a Full-Time, Architectural Drafter for their office located in East Stroudsburg, PA. This is an opportunity to work on a variety of interior and exterior designs ranging from Residential, Commercial, Industrial & Renovation projects.

Architectural Drafter Salary: $21-$28 per hour (based on skillset and quality of work)

Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly

Skills/Qualifications:

• Must be able to report to the office full time-not a remote position
• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Must have minimum of 2 years of architectural drafting experience
• Ability to perform stationary work at a computer terminal or desk as well as mobile work in the field
• Able to work both within a team and independent setting
• Proficient operation and understanding of AutoCAD software and manual drafting workstations
• Basic understanding of Autodesk Revit (not required but a plus)
• Basic understanding of Photoshop (not required by a plus)
• Proficient understanding of Microsoft 365 Office Suite and cloud filing systems
• Basic understanding of building structure in both commercial & residential construction
• Familiar with building codes, standards & procedures (IRC & IBC)
• Able to take field measurements and translate them into working drawings
• Proficient space planning skills
• Able to document job site conditions and features with photography and sketches
• Maintains knowledge of current design trends
• Clear written and oral communication skills
• Proficient interpersonal skills for client relationship management
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Takes pride in producing drawings that accurately convey design & construction intent
• Proficient critical thinking skills and able to problem solve and develop creative solutions
• Troubleshoots challenges with positivity and enthusiasm
• Ability to multitask and manage several projects at a time
• Ability to assess and prioritize tasks, projects and department demands in a calm and efficient manner.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for creating architectural designs, drawings, and other technical information for both interior and exterior, residential, commercial, industrial & renovation projects. Duties include creating traditional designs from preliminary sketches, verifying that drawings meet both required specifications/client’s needs, and creating technical documents and reports. Able to produce the proper construction documentation required to obtain building permits. Conducts product and material searches in relation to projects. Regularly meets with clients, architects, engineers, superintendents, and employees in the office and in the field as needed-not a remote position.

Possesses a moderate to advanced understanding of general aspects of job. Manages no subordinate staff in day-to-day performance of their job. Able to support peers and customers in a team setting, as well as work independently with minimal supervision. Reports to department lead and company owner.
