Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Veneer Clipper to join our team. As a Veneer Clipper, you will be responsible for operating machinery and performing various tasks related to veneer cutting and fabrication. This is a vital role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the production of high-quality veneer products.
Responsibilities:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards
- Verifies machine is properly guarded.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and proper use of all machine specific controls.
- Verifies emergency stops are functional.
- Read and interpret blueprints or work orders to determine specifications and cutting requirements
- Measure and mark materials using hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments
- Inspect veneer materials for defects or imperfections such as but not limited to veneer blemishes, uneven cutting, squareness, and make necessary adjustments
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Plant Manager
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleaning of machinery to optimize performance
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects
- Ensures proper size is programmed in machine
-Apply glue using a spray gun and deliver material to splicer area for drying
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Verifies correct quality and size
- Keep panels in order if they are sequenced or blueprinted

- Familiarity with hand tools, calipers, and measuring instruments
-Forklift experience is a plus
Skills:
Minimum of a high school education or 3 years factory related experience in a manufacturing environment.
Should have basic math skills that include ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to read and understand documents such as blueprints, factory orders and other instructional documents. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees in the organization
