ISG is excited to bolster our team with an Architectural Project Manager, passionate about PreK-12 education and ready to contribute within our Education Business Unit. Applicants should have an enthusiasm for communicating with school districts, developing client and community relationships, and leading PreK-12 education projects. As a Project Manager and key business unit contributor, you will be an ISG Employee Owner, working collaboratively with your fellow employee owners to develop creative solutions. This role will provide you with numerous opportunities to learn, strengthen your project management skills, lead project efforts, and mentor team members.

Regardless of your location, you will participate in Education Business Unit activity throughout the entire ISG footprint. This may include 1-2 days of travel a few times each month. When feasible, team members utilize ISG’s private aircraft!

In this role, you will work closely with Kevin Bills, AIA. As the Education Business Unit Leader, he guides the ISG teams that work with school districts throughout the Midwest on athletic facilities, new schools, renovations, security, and circulation improvements, and more. Here are a few recent projects:

• Proctor Public Schools Multi-Purpose Field—$1.4 million project to transform the high school’s natural grass field to a synthetic surface field.
• St. Peter Public Schools—construction of a new state-of-the-art high school to accommodate up to 1,000 students plus a substantial renovation to convert the former high school into functional space for the middle school.
• Fort Dodge Community School District—comprehensive facilities assessment followed by construction of a new elementary school with enhanced collaboration spaces

In this role, you will thoughtfully work with clients and skillfully mentor internal design team members. Here are a few more details:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Develop strategies to enhance ISG’s Education Business Unit.
• Lead a Delivery Team through multiple projects, in partnership with others, to successfully implement a client’s vision.
• Create and manage project schedules, budgets, and Delivery Team staffing plans in partnership with Project Leaders.
• Work in partnership with internal quality assurance team members and follow quality control processes.
• Demonstrate leadership by engaging in staff development and mentoring of Delivery Team members.
• Participate in construction administration services including site meetings.
• Other duties as assigned or instructed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to empathetically connect with clients and internal team members
• Ability to lead client communication and maintain client relationships for multiple projects.
• Ability to review AIA contracts, align scope of services, monitor project progress, and organize project financial information to support invoicing.
• Established relationships with Education clients.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam is beneficial, but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, participate with a variety of team members on different projects at varying levels of development.
