Job Title - Architectural Design Manager

The Opportunity: You will lead the day to day management of a small team in a fast growing Architectural Design company. You will work side by side with the owner to deliver exceptional results for your clients across the country.

We want a self-driven designer/architect that knows residential and commercial design principles and loves keeping up to date with design, building code and using AutoCad.

Who we are: We are a women owned and operated Architectural Drafting & Design company in Fairhope, Alabama. We work with our clients to design and engineer complete plan-sets that allow you to pull permits and get bids from builders. Your project starts with us!

Compensation Range:

• Salary $70,000-$100,000 depending on experience
• Bonus opportunities available based on performance

Location: In office - Fairhope, AL (M-F)

Work You’ll Do:

• Manage multiple design/drafting projects across residential and commercial industries
• Draft and design in AutoCad
• Review and markup all drawings and deliverables for the team before submitting to clients
• Communicate consistently with contractors, clients, builders and engineers on all projects
• Hold the team and yourself accountable to project deadlines and scope
• Draw complicated floorplans, elevations, roof plan, sections and details with no direction
• Light job site visits along with taking and reading filed measurements and sketches

Must-haves in a Candidate:

• Advanced understanding of residential & commercial construction design principles - 3 years working experience in Architectural Design
• Project management skills - you keep everyone on track and communicated with
• Can manage full lifecycle of projects
• Comfortable managing multiple projects at a time
• Nothing gets by you - you check and verify work of all team members
• AutoCad expertise - must be able to complete complex drawings & elevations without direction; Strong knowledge working in model space/layout space and using external references. Must be quick and efficient.
• Up to date knowledge on building codes across commercial and residential industries
• Knowledge of PEMB construction, post and beam construction, conventional wood framing and metal framing
• Basic technology skills: Outlook, Adobe and general computer skills are a must

Nice-to-haves in a Candidate:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Architectural License

• 2 team members

Interview Process:

• Phone screen with recruiter - 30 mins
• Phone interview with owner - 30 mins (share portfolio)
• In person interview with the owner - 1 hour
• Any other steps as needed according to the owner

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
