DEFINITION:
Assists the nursing staff in administering direct and indirect patient care by assuming clerical and receptionist duties, performs specialized technical skills, reporting any unusual incidents or findings and maintaining a clean and safe physical environment of the area for the following age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):
Oklahoma Long Term Care Aide Certification or proof of EMT program completion is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of a unit secretary program is desired.
Previous experience as a Unit Secretary/Tech in a hospital setting is desired
High school diploma or GED equivalent and completion of formal training program preferred.
