Art Director Assistant assists the Art Director with all phases of design projects to ensure successful project completion. Monitors work through all stages of pre-production and production and facilitates solutions to any issues that may arise. Being an Art Director Assistant reviews the work of videographers, photographers, designers, and graphic artists. Requires knowledge of typography, layout, color, and visual communication. Additionally, Art Director Assistant requires a bachelor's degree of art or design. Typically reports to Art Director. The Art Director Assistant gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.   • Center for Spiritual Wisdom (CSW) Half-Time Assistant Director Position Description

    ● In-person meetings are required at least twice per month in Brevard, N.C. In-person attendance expected at CSW events. Some contact hours may be fulfilled remotely.

    ● This is a new position for the Center, requiring 20-24 hours per week, effective 7/1/24.

    The Assistant Director will oversee and implement Center for Spiritual Wisdom's programmatic, administrative, communication, and development strategies. Reporting to the Center's Director, the Assistant Director will work collaboratively with all staff members to develop and implement strategic plans to broaden the reach and impact of CSW events and programs. The Assistant Director will manage operations, communications, and tools used for CSW’s day-to-day needs. Program management will be shared with Staff.

    Major Responsibilities

    • Follow the Vision & Mission of the Center as articulated by the Center's Director

    and board

    • Collaborate with CSW Director, Marketing Communications Specialist, and intern to develop programmatic and communication strategies that will broaden the center's reach
    • Oversee fundraising & development work in collaboration with the Board and Director

    Share donor engagement strategies, including CSW Member Program, with Director

    • Oversee the donor database (Donor Dock), with support from the Marketing Communications Specialist
    • Collaborate with the Marketing Communications Specialist to identify traditional media outlets, as well as web-based and social media outlets, that can be leveraged to support CSW's work, and help to create and implement plans for their effective use
    • Collaborate with the Marketing Communications Specialist to manage the CSW website, social media accounts, online calendar & schedule of events
    • Serve as CFO for legal & fiduciary purposes (payroll, check signing, insurance, budget development, etc.) & process CSW mail
    • Oversee organizational response to inquiries about CSW
    • Create and manage events in CSW’s event management platform (shared with Staff)
    • Supervise CSW intern and oversee volunteers involved in operations and programs
    • Collaborate with the Marketing Communications Specialist and the Center’s Director to create CSW’s monthly e-newsletter. Create original content as well as solicit, collect, and edit content from various individuals.
    • Serve as staff liaison to program planners and CSW Program Planning Committee (shared with Staff)
    • Attend and (when requested) run weekly staff meetings with CSW Director, Marketing Communications Specialist, and intern

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Relevant administrative and/or programmatic experience in a non-profit organization
    • Experience with Google work tools (or equivalent), website and database management, and newsletter publishing platforms/software
    • Relevant experience in fundraising and development
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent educational credits
    • Ability to build positive relationships with staff members, constituents, and donors
    • Ability to offer input to program & organizational leaders and serve as a

    spokesperson for the Center

    • Proficiency in English and strong presentation skills
    • A keen eye for detail

    Compensation & Benefits

    • $24,00 per year ($2,000 per month) gross compensation
    • Flexibility in scheduling work hours and location, depending on the activities and priorities of CSW as determined by the Director
