NOW HIRING: Seasonal Art Gallery Assistant

Hours: Part-Time, approx. 20-30/hrs. week (4-8 hour shifts)

Compensation based on skill and experience with possible sales commission

The gallery is open seven days a week in high season (May - November). Some occasional evening shifts may be required. We try our best to be flexible with staff schedules. We will be reviewing candidates as they apply and scheduling interviews starting early May.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and inform customers about our artists and their work
• Process art sales and assist with shipping
• Maintain artwork inventory in our inventory system
• Update gallery website (FASO platform) with new works and exhibition information
• Assist in posts to social media accounts, plus other marketing efforts

Skills and Requirements:

- Previous successful art sales background and experience strongly preferred
- Personable, articulate and enthusiastic about art
- Technically savvy with solid retail, social media and marketing experience
- Well organized, flexible and self-motivated
- Ability to multi-task but with priority being on customer service
