Art Director Assistant assists the Art Director with all phases of design projects to ensure successful project completion. Monitors work through all stages of pre-production and production and facilitates solutions to any issues that may arise. Being an Art Director Assistant reviews the work of videographers, photographers, designers, and graphic artists. Requires knowledge of typography, layout, color, and visual communication. Additionally, Art Director Assistant requires a bachelor's degree of art or design. Typically reports to Art Director. The Art Director Assistant gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Location: Yosemite Valley / Yosemite National Park
The Art Programs Assistant position is primarily a teaching role with Yosemite Art Center at Happy Isles Art and Nature Center
in Yosemite Valley. The assistant instructs Paint & Sip, Custom Classes, and free art activities. This position supports the Art
Programs Coordinator and Director of Art Programs with day-to-day operations of all art program offerings. This position is
supervised by the Director of Art Programs and works cooperatively with the visiting volunteer artists, NPS staff and Yosemite
Conservancy staff. This position is for 3 months, June – August.
