Art Director Assistant jobs in Springfield, OR

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Art Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in art and education, and will be able to provide engaging and creative lessons to students from preschool to 8th grade. The successful candidate will be able to create a safe and inspiring learning environment, and will be knowledgeable about a variety of art techniques and art history. We are looking for someone who is excited to share their knowledge with our students and help them develop their artistic skills. This position is for between 5 and 7 hours a week.

Responsibilities:

• Develop lesson plans and curriculum for art classes that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
• Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art across the curriculum, reinforcing cross-disciplinary learning experiences
• Instruct students in the fundamentals of art, such as color theory, composition, and perspective.
• Introduce students to art history, different artistic styles, and famous artists, fostering their appreciation for the arts
• Maintain a safe and creative learning environment for students.
• Teach various art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, and mixed media
• Develop art projects that are age-appropriate and engaging.
• Display and showcase student artwork throughout the school, organizing art exhibitions or presentations
• Manage and organize art supplies and materials, ensuring a safe and well-equipped art classroom

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour
