As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the dentist during various dental procedures and ensure a comfortable experience for our patients. Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including but not limited to fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take and record patients' vital signs
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Take dental impressions and perform dental imaging procedures
- Maintain accurate medical documentation
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Provide support in administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- Current certification in Dental Assisting
- Proficiency in dental terminology and procedures
- Understanding of practice management software
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment
