The Director of the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum (CEAM) is tasked with organizing every aspect of the curation, promotion, and mounting of exhibitions at CEAM during the Academic Year [September through June], coordinating the CEAM Artist Residency. A typical Academic Year will include 5-7 rotating exhibitions that feature visiting artists, traveling exhibits, faculty creative work, and the BFA and BA student portfolio exhibitions at the end of each semester. The Director organizes and promotes programming related to the exhibitions and the artist residency, including lectures, workshops and class visits, symposia, and performances. Acting as the liaison between
different departments on campus and Visiting Artists and Artists-in-Residence, the Director creates and promotes cross-discipline opportunities for students, faculty, and staff. The Director oversees budgets for CEAM and collections, including grants, as well as prepares and manages grants. The Director manages the day-to-day maintenance of the galleries, and supervises two student work-grants, one Art History student intern, as well as up to five student gallery assistants each semester.
