Art Manager manages the creative design and execution of visual communications to meet an organization's marketing or advertising objectives. Provides internal clients with design standards, tools, and guidance on communicating corporate image, branding, and identity. Being an Art Manager oversees the design and production operations of all visual elements including publications, infographics, and social content, that are deployed across digital, interactive and print. Monitors projects and timelines. Additionally, Art Manager stays current on latest trends. Develops and manages a network of vendors, freelance artists, and designers to utilize for project support. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in art, graphic design or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Art Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. About This Position: We’re looking for an Art Director, Direct Mail, to provide design direction and oversight for several direct mail accounts under the guidance of the Creative Director. The Art Director will make directional decisions for design and layout on a daily basis, but will seek guidance, input, and/or support from the Creative Director as needed. The duties of the Art Director will range from playing a role in collaborative brainstorming and guiding design, layout, and format decisions to completing documentation of direction related to direct mail specifications and seeing it through from first draft to final client approval. This role will contribute to our clients’ success (and, in turn, the agency’s) through the development of powerful direct mail creative that exemplifies our clients’ brands and missions, to ultimately generate desired campaign program results.

Tech Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in working with PC or Mac computers and accompanying software for this role, particularly Adobe Acrobat and Adobe InDesign. This employee should display confidence and proficiency navigating Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Slides, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Asana, and a high level of comfort utilizing video meetings and Slack for daily communication needs. Knowledge of additional programs in the Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
