Art Manager manages the creative design and execution of visual communications to meet an organization's marketing or advertising objectives. Provides internal clients with design standards, tools, and guidance on communicating corporate image, branding, and identity. Being an Art Manager oversees the design and production operations of all visual elements including publications, infographics, and social content, that are deployed across digital, interactive and print. Monitors projects and timelines. Additionally, Art Manager stays current on latest trends. Develops and manages a network of vendors, freelance artists, and designers to utilize for project support. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in art, graphic design or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Art Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Art Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. To accomplish this, you will be responsible for many aspects of the business including: managing artists, running the studio's day-to-day activities, attracting new business and building customer relationships.

    Job Responsibilities

    Create a culture of creativity, enjoyment, and safety — Creative Color Art Studios strives to provide a nurturing and art enriching educational environment. We want every student to feel better about themselves when they leave the studio, from our young artists to our sipping and painting adults. As the Assistant Studio Manager, working with the Studio Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining this culture by constantly checking in with instructors, students, and parents about student progress, enjoyment, and well being.

    Manage the day-to-day operations of the studio — The Assistant Studio Manager is responsible for making sure the studio is running as intended. You will:

    • Attract, register, and enroll new students and book events
    • Talk with customers about classes and parties, take payments, and process orders
    • Work closely with the instructors to confirm they are scheduled and confirmed for events
    • Support instructors with all aspects of classes and events
    • Manage social media marketing on Facebook and Instagram platforms
    • Be responsible for managing and coordinating all supply orders

    Be the face of the studio — As Assistant Studio Manager, with support of the Studio Manager, you will be running the studio during business hours. You will be the first person that customers and students see when they walk through the door.

    Book and confirm private events — In addition to scheduled classes, the studio books private parties and corporate events. As the Assistant Manager, you will take charge of marketing, booking, scheduling, and confirming all details for these events.

    Be accountable for administrative reporting and filing — While it’s not the most exciting part of the job, it is critical that the Assistant Studio Manager keep well organized records and documentation of all necessary aspects of the events and classes.

    Manage social media accounts to include creating content, posting, and sharing real-time events happening in the studio.

    Qualifications

    • Ability to work flexible days and hours, including holidays and weekends
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Sales and Marketing experience
    • Art Experience and a love for the arts
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
    • Proficient in Google Drive and Google Documents
    • Proficient in Facebook and Instagram social media platforms
    • Experience with Canva platform also a plus

    Clean and Safe Environment and Inventory Management

    • Ensure the studio is clean and presentable, safe, and in good condition.

    • Take responsibility for maintaining art supply levels within the studio.

    Customer Service and Presentation

    • Maintain a neat and organized studio area at all times
    • Handle event correspondence on time including emails and phone calls
    • Strive for high customer review ratings!

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree (Required)
    • At least three years of relevant experience (Required)
    • A background participating in office and/or retail management
    • A background in art or art education is a plus

    Schedule

    The work schedule for this position will be 30 - 35 hrs./week, flex hours. Candidates who are qualified and pass the CCAS interview will be able to begin at the studio starting April 29th.

    Job Types: Part-time, Contract

    Pay: From $21.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
