Art Manager manages the creative design and execution of visual communications to meet an organization's marketing or advertising objectives. Provides internal clients with design standards, tools, and guidance on communicating corporate image, branding, and identity. Being an Art Manager oversees the design and production operations of all visual elements including publications, infographics, and social content, that are deployed across digital, interactive and print. Monitors projects and timelines. Additionally, Art Manager stays current on latest trends. Develops and manages a network of vendors, freelance artists, and designers to utilize for project support. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in art, graphic design or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Art Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Art Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We are seeking a dynamic and creative Art Consultant to join our team. Seasons of Light Gallery represents the artwork of world-renowned landscape photographer Jeff Mitchum along with unique furniture, and glass artwork from various artists. The Gallery is located in a prime location in Monterey California on Cannery Row, with high foot traffic and right next to the beach.

    The ideal candidate will have a passion for art combined with strong sales skills to assist clients in selecting artwork that suits their taste and space.

    These are “people positions.” A professional appearance and a friendly and outgoing demeanor are a must. Consultants will report directly to the Gallery Director and will be responsible for making day-to-day sales to the customers they meet in the gallery.

    Responsibilities:
    - Collaborate with clients to understand their preferences and requirements for art pieces.

    - Provide expert advice on art selection, framing, and placement.

    - Informing customers about sales, promotions and policies.

    - Utilize sales techniques to promote and sell artwork to clients.

    - Write sales orders and complete purchase transactions.

    - Manage art inventory, stock inventory and ensure displays are visually appealing.

    Experience:
    - Previous experience in sales, particularly in art or related fields.

    - Web and computer proficiency is a plus.

    - Strong negotiation skills to close deals effectively.

    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

    Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
