You will be working with students from grades K-12, instilling in them a love for creativity and empowering them to use art as a form of self-expression. The ideal candidate will have a rich background in various artistic mediums, a passion for teaching, and the patience and dedication to foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Teach art classes to students from grades K-12, adapting teaching style and content to the appropriate grade level.
2. Develop comprehensive lesson plans that engage students in a variety of art mediums including but not limited to painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, and digital arts.
3. Foster a nurturing, creative, and inclusive environment for students to explore their artistic skills.
4. Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on student's work to help improve their techniques and overall creative expression.
5. Demonstrate art techniques and assist students in applying these techniques to their own work.
6. Organize and prepare students' artwork for school exhibits and community events.
7. Ensure all lessons and activities comply with safety protocols.
8. Stay current with the latest art education techniques and trends.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
2. Prior teaching experience or relevant work experience in a K-12 setting preferred.
3. Comprehensive knowledge and skills in various art mediums.
4. Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with students, parents, and colleagues.
5. Patience and dedication to cultivating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
6. Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different ages and abilities.
