Speech Language Pathologist- Part time, Per Diem

We are seeking motivated, energetic applicants for our newly re-opening Premier unit. Premier is a beautiful, state of the art unit providing short term rehabilitation for patients with a variety of medical conditions.

 Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited program in Speech Language Pathology
• 1 year of experience in a therapist capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related medical facility preferred
• Possess a current, unencumbered, NYS license and maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment

Specific Job Requirements:

• Demonstrate competence in Speech Language Pathology evaluation, goal setting, treatment, and EMR documentation
• Chart appropriately and timely
• Effective communication skills for working with patients, families, and caregivers
• Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Maintain an excellent working relationship with facility staff members
• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Provide dependable, regular per diem coverage
