Art Services Supervisor supervises all phases of creative development work from concept to completion. Oversees the creation of art, photo, copy, and layout project deliverables. Description
This position is responsible for oversight of daily thermal and non-thermal operations and ensuring activities are conducted in a safe and effective manner. This is a salaried, exempt position.
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Provide day-to-day direction to shift supervisors and Process Technicians in all aspects of Thermal and Non-Thermal Operations to include all production activities, Shipping/Receiving support and Administrative Support functions.
· Coordinate activities with support groups to maintain compliance with Radioactive Materials License and Mixed Waste RCRA/TSCA Permit.
· Maintain a safe working environment and oversee ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable) work practices; ensure all shift supervisors and Process Technicians assigned to the facilities are properly trained/re-trained, as required.
· Support the Plant Operations Manager in the establishment of long- and short-term goals, department financial budgets and reporting.
· Act as Mixed – Waste operations supervisor, as required.
· Act as Emergency Coordinator, as required.
· Maintain a safe working environment.
· Other duties as assigned.
Industrial-type work environment and must be able to work in hot and cold conditions as described above, and occasionally working outside in all weather conditions. Facility work includes the potential for exposure to radiation, noise, dust, hot and cold temperatures and chemicals.
Requirements
· Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with two years of experience in the treatment/management of low level radioactive and/or missed waste.
· Familiarity with all aspects of plant operations including low level operations and mixed waste operations as well as the administrative aspects of the business.
· Ability to be self-motivated and effectively communicate in a clear and accurate manner both verbally and written.
· Familiarity with the Radioactive Material Licenses, air permits, RCRA permit and operational procedures.
· Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees and management.
· Must be able to wear respiratory protection on occasion (includes fit test and physical).
