Assembly Supervisor supervises a manufacturing production line that assembles fabricated parts. Creates daily work schedules, follows standard manufacturing procedures, and monitors work to meet product specifications and production targets. Being an Assembly Supervisor resolves production problems and answers workers' questions about processes, methods, or equipment. Delivers training for new processes or equipment and onboard new employees. Additionally, Assembly Supervisor conducts quality testing on completed assemblies to validate tolerances and product specifications. Reviews daily assembly production records to identify trends or potential performance issues. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Assembly Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Assembly Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Our assembly team is comprised of mechanical and skilled electrical assemblers. Working closely with the fabrication team to deliver custom large-scale products, meeting detailed deadlines.
As an Assembly Supervisor you will:
• Have experience reviewing production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations
• Have experience
• Have experience developing and leading a team of 50 skilled individuals; owning the training, corrective action, and advocacy of the team
• Have experience inspecting equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization. Setting up work cells for maximum efficiency and initiates any necessary changes in work cells to accommodate fluctuations in staff quantities
• Have experience reviewing production and operating reports and resolving operational manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
A successful candidate for this role will:
• Have an associate's degree or a technical certification in a related field (certified electrician is a plus)
• Have 5 years of related experience
• Have experience working in an electromechanical industry
